JULY 10TH MEETING AT CAL POLY
University Union, Conference RM UU218
5:30pm Potluck and Networking, 6 - 7:30pm Meeting
Dear Breastfeeding Advocates,
Join us for our July meeting at Cal Poly. We will have guest speaker, Shelby Bachelder, discuss Cal Poly and Dignity Health's new Women and Infants Mobile Health Unit. She is the Program Coordinator for the Women and Infants Mobile Health Unit: Family Health Research | STRIDE | Kinesiology Department at Cal Poly.
The Women and Infants Mobile Health Unit is a collaborative project between Cal Poly's STRIDE Center for Family Health Research and Dignity Health. The mobile unit will offer free OBGYN and infant care to underserved, uninsured populations in Santa Maria and Guadalupe, CA in 2017. There are plans to expand to locations in Southern SLO County in 2018. Alongside services, the staff will offer Medi-Cal enrollment and referrals to community programs for those who qualify.
We will also continue our discussion on the creation of a Coordinator position for the Coalition. Creation of this position has been discussed at multiple meetings over the last 6 months. A decision will be made on this position, if you would like to be a part of that decision, please attend this meeting.
Please bring a dish for our potluck: main dish, side dish, or dessert. You can park in the parking structure near the PAC. As always, our meetings are open to the public and we welcome new people wanting to learn about our Coalition.
Please let us know if you have questions and we look forward to seeing you in July.
